Gears of War 1 and 2.

Awesome games. Especially Gears 2. They do seem kind of short though.

PS3:

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Playing through the single player campain now. Action is good but I find that the story is quite poor.

Both, but for the last post, it was the actual console. I use things like JNES occasionally, bu the keyboard and mouse controls are awkward since I don't have a joystick/controller. I still have an Atari 7800 and a super NES too, but no consoles more recent than that.

The techmo super bowl game was great, except the "ready, down. hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut..." part where it says hut until you actually snap the ball.

Some games never get old. I used to use emulators frequently on my computer now for the older stuff I use my ps3( as seen here). Its kinda nice playing the games in your living room again on a large tv.

my monitor is 27" and sits right beside the regular TV, so playing games on it feels about the same in terms of screen view.

Thats a good sized monitor. In the video I was using a 30" sony CRT HDTV. I have since upgraded to a 40" Samsung LCD HDTV. Another perk of this set up is that your wireless ps3 controllers work with it ( as seen here ). Its more conducive to some old school multiplayer.

I still wish I had my actual NES/carts and they all still worked. Only thing I got is the emu's anymore. I absolutely loved super dodgeball and the Battle of Olympus for the nes. Got super dodgeball on the wii, but don't think I'll ever see the Battle of Olympus again.

Right now I took my gaming back to COD4.

Sometimes (since upgrading) the forums hang for me, causing me (the user) to want to refresh, leading to a prompt/popup message asking permission to do something along the lines of 'if you refresh you'll have to resend information', and that might be after the post was registered (but not yet displayed). This causes non-same-minute double posts for some regular members, but since you're a moderator, it allows more than one post per minute.

Based on that I'm guessing the forum got stuck after you submitted, and you either resubmitted, or you refreshed on the 'thanks for speaking up' page.

If that's not the case, then maybe it's the older version of the dpb, or maybe after going through a 13.5 hour day, my brain is starting to shut down now that I'm home and therefore full of shit and you can disregard these hypotheses completely.

What happens is this:

When you post a message with the new quick reply a Javascript function intercepts the data being posted to the server and instead sends it via AJAX. (This is why you get the spinner and then you post appears stuck on at the bottom of the page by magic, this saved bandwidth etc since the whole page doesn't need to be resent)
The AJAX function waits a certain amount of time for a response from the server, saying that the it got your post and also returns the formatted version of it to be displayed; if after a few seconds it doesn't hear back it falls back to old way of posting and resubmits your post.
Of course your post could of been lost/timed out when it was sent with AJAX so this is a decent fall back method - The system overall lets you still post without Javascript which is good.
Anyway, your post was received the first time and dealt with but then it gets this new request to post the same thing, so it put you onto the post reply screen and gives you a message saying you need to wait.
Moderators and Administrators don't have the imposed time limit between posts so if the above situation arises then they basically double post.

This could be avoided if the AJAX request points out it's via AJAX and then the fall back request points out it's a second attempt since it thinks the AJAX failed; the server could then put two and two together and not being stupid.

Hello.
I'm not proof reading that, so it might make no sense.

Psychonauts!

I just started a new game of Psychonauts a few weeks ago. This game will never get old for me.

As for new games: Just got New Super Mario Bros Wii and Monster Hunger Tri for the Wii.

For the PC, I'm currently re-playing Elder Scrolls 3 and just started playing Dragon Age Origins.
