maki script problem

this is one of the maki scripts for my skin

#include "../../../lib/std.mi"

Global Container maincontainer;
Global Layout normallayout;
Global Layer eyecover;
Global Group framegrp;
Global Button toggle;

System.onScriptLoaded() {
maincontainer=getContainer("main");
Layout normallayout = maincontainer.getLayout("normal");
eyecover=normallayout.getObject("player.normal.eyecoverl");
framegrp=getScriptGroup();
toggle=framegrp.findObject("toggle");
}

toggle.onEnterArea() {
eyecover.setTargetW(3);
eyecover.setTargetSpeed(0.5);
eyecover.gotoTarget();
}

when i refresh my skin and roll my mouse ovr the toggle button i get an error message saying "null object called".

plz fix this problem for me. i am in deep trouble.

Send a message via AIM to iPlayTheSpoons
that means your maki is pointing to an xml object that isnt technically there. double check you code the make sure it matches up.

eyecover=normallayout.getObject("player.normal.eyecoverl");

Did you really call that layer player.normal.eyecoverl..? If not, no wonder winamp can't find it.
Please check for typo's yourself first before posting...
