How's development coming along?

Just wondering... haven't heard anything new in a long time. Just decided to reinstall WA3 and wasabi.player for the hell of it... is development making much progress?

Looking forward to a new version (though most likely it'll be a long time...).

Development has stopped on wasabi.player, much because of some key-elements still beeing closed-source.
Instead, there will be a next generation wasabi developed, which is currently in the planning phase.
Some old open-sourced wasabi code will be used, some will be rewritten.
Some day, a player might very well be built on the new wasabi. I guess it all depends on the level of interest in the project.
There's a Wiki here, where you can follow the progress if you want, and contribute aswell..

So you're going to, among other things, try and replace the whole script and skinning engine?

From what you said Plague, it sounds like you're going to use this oppurtunity to improve Wasabi based on past experience at the same time as having to re-write large portions of it. So I suppose some of it being closed source isn't all bad

I'll take a good look at the Wiki. Great to see something new to have a look at.

I'll for one will be watching the progress of Wasabi, and I'm sure there's a lot more people around.

The old Wasabi team is behind this move, so there's real talent involved in this thing..
