What? You don't download anything to Winamp. If you have a question then you will need to ask it again because that makes no sense.

Downloading!

What do you mean it don't make sense. I asked a simple question and I didn't know where to put the post! As for as downloading any songs to Winamp, I know now I can't, not like Napster. It don't matter, I uninstalled it. Thanks anyway for your concern

this part of your sentence is where you lost us. We don't mind as much that you didn't post in the proper forum, that happens more than dayly. Annoying, yes, but not enough not to answer a good question.

There are two possible questions in your question:
1: How do I download music from the internet (that I can play with winamp)?
2: How do I add music from my harddrive to my winamp playlist?

What you wanted to ask was:
"Can I download music with winamp, and play it?"
..But you just didn't ask that. Please write clear sentences that everybody can understand.

"downloading to winamp" just doesn't make sense.

(That said, uninstalling any program because you can't get along with some total strangers makes even less sense.)

Yes, Napster allowed you to both download a song AND play it, all in one program.

Winamp does not do both functions. It only plays media (video and audio including songs) that has been picked up using other programs.

In other words, a non-winamp program is needed to get the music, and then winamp will play it for you. If you know you have music but don't know how to play it in winamp, we CAN help you. Just post again saying you want us to help you play your music with winamp.

If you want music that isn't already on your computer, then winamp will not help, as it is only a player.

There is, however, one exception - winamp can play CDs that you put in your computer, and it can rip music from those CDs so that you don't need the CD to play the music after you have ripped it. If you need help with this, we CAN help with this too.

What we CAN'T do is help you download music that you don't already have (without paying for it legally) because that would be against forum rules. We CAN help you find places to legally buy it for downloading, after which you can play it on winamp.

I hope this helps.

Don't forget to live before you die.
