AOL has now screwed up all surrounding products besides their own software...ICQ, Nutscrape...

Does AOL interfere or intend to interfere with Nullsoft products just because they own Nullsoft, or is it simply for financial reasons? So far Winamp has only been getting better but I'm not very fond of AOL products, so I'm worried that Winamp may go sour if AOL gets their hands in it, and go the way of ICQ.

Hey monkey, remember me?

Nah, AOL wouldn't mess with WinAmp too much. Just wouldn't be good for business.

Winamp rocks, in fact, every piece of software ive seen of Nullsoft's has been half decent, lets hope AOL doesnt get it HUGE hands in to mess things up...

I agree. If its not broke don't fix it. Nullsoft's WinAmp is a hit, if AOL stays away from it, it will continue to kick @$$.

AOL bought my cable access provider, but they have thus far kept their hands off of the product thankfully.

Agreed! Get updated with every verison of Winamp that comes out...so you always have the latest non-crappy version incase winamp goes crappy...I see Custom Form Shapes as a big performance drawback, but I don't know yet.

So far Winamp3 rules!

I have just about every version since 2.0, and i personally think 2.6 is best.

Yes, so far, WA3 Rulz

I have the last few version's back uped ..

I see no need if it isnt broke fix type thing .. my versions im happy with use hardly any memory and is easy to use and i like my personalized skin i use .. keeping with the lastest and greatest is not always the best thing .. bugs and other things show up in usage .. so i generally avoid it

man.. what WOULD happen if AOL did get its hands on WINAMP.. think about it... you start it up, and it says "you have MP3's" or it has banners before you can play any song on your play list.. I would FREAK.. AOL pisses me off at it is.. I don't need winamp to do the same thing.. just imagine.. instead of the call saying "my AOL isn't working" its going to be "my winamp, AND my AOL are not working" WINAMP is a fine piece of software, I would hate to see it all messed up.

I know, that's weird. JvaGuy, XENOmorph, you guys too? Now I don't feel like I am cheating on WinDrivers by being here. Thought I was the only closet WinAmp Forums fan.

About being your LOVER...I think I'll pass

I'm not hiding, but I'm sure you all agree that I need a little time away from WinDrivers, so tehrefore I'm going to spend some time on a community where 99.9% of the people don't even know who I am and therefore aren't pissed off at me, besides, Winamp rules :-D

Get jimmr and Sowulo over here

The 99.9% of people on WinDrivers who don't like me sure will plummet! Once they come over to Winamp and see me there, they will know that I exist for more than to piss others off!!!

LOLOLOLOL I just had to say something about that blunder!!! I think you mean that the 99.9% of people on Winamp who don't know me yet will plummet :-P ;-)

Monkey Boy!

You behaving yourself over here? I truly hope so cuz it would be a shame to start up another spank the monkey contest in your honor.

Scary that the net is such a little place after all, eh?

Yes I am. And my return to WinDrivers is not going to be a big fiasco ("everyone, accept me, I'm BACK!"), I'm just going to post and see if anyone notices me. Already working on a new avatar...

I swear, there must be a post on WinDrivers about this place or something...

GG, it's also sort of scary that I have more posts over here than Darren and SheriffQ combined...hehehehehe

Melmac..I am your friend..why do you think I'm here.

Monkey Boy..haven't you learned??? Quality vs quanity, good simple basic rule that will carry you far beyond the boundries of a BB. Live it, learn it.

You need a much longer time before coming back to Windrivers and a new avatar isn't what's going to hide the immaturity that rings out loud and clear in everyone of your postings.
My advice, for what it's worth? Stay away and let the tempers simmer down. You were rude to many many people there that have the power to ban you totally (as they did once already) and it would be in your best interest to let it fade a bit. Could take years.
