Win MX 3.2

Anyone here find that WIN MX 3.2 hangs your computer when you open it, and when you do every 5th Search?

3.2 is good, but can be very slow connecting to multiple servers and every X search.

Michael

Hmm. I use WinMX but its a bitch downloading and resuming songs!

Nothing special, just use KaZaA (now the best alternative due to closure of Audio Galaxy)

I am a long time WinMX user and I was UTTERLY disappointed with the new version. It sucks shit. It would slow down my computer every 5 seconds, if I was listening to music it would make it skip along with my mouse. Hell I went back to V2.6

Strange...

I'm running WinMX 3.22 on a Windows 98SE P2 machine at 300MHz and it only gets slow when I make a Primary connection on my cable modem sinc eI'm Firewalled. If I make a Secondary Connection it runs just fine. Oh, By the way, I thought that they were going to amek ti so that WinMX 2.x wouldn't run shortly after WinMx 3.x was released.

Mine only hangs up b/ my firewall is shit, and eats up a hell of a lot of resorces. And this happens when im on my pc for a long time and downloading large files.

I LOVE 3.x I used ALL of the betas, I have been using winmx for along time now, since 2.5 And they keep getting better.

KILL KAZA, it is so horribal. LITTERED with spy and ad-ware. It instals programs that are made to slow down your pc!

I don't bother making a primary or secondary connection to the WinMX Peer Network at all. It bogs my system down as well. I just connect to my OpenNap servers and things run smoothly.

win mx 3.2

hi

Before I heard about win mx 3.2 I was using Kaazaa. then I found win mx 3.2 here. I installed it on my computer. Many of you seem to be quite negative about the program. My first opinion is: the display is very clear and simple. Easy to use. A bit slow? I don't know yet i'll find out.
Got some great music easily like Autechre and Aphex Twin

if i search for something vague or popular like "divx" i'll be bogged down.
opening more searches can compound the problem. but if i'm not searching, little resources are spent.

(wow, i keep getting disconnected from so many of those users more and more often there... back to other friendlier places for me.)

I agree
I found many users who disconnect me from downloading. But that has'nt anything to do with the software itself.

By the way what's "divx""?
