Server setup doubts
Hello please forgive me if i'm posting a message that has already been sent.
I contracted an dedicated windows server with 1&1 so I can run the shoutcast server because the linux version can't be installed they told me that it si a dedicated server I have to work it out by myself. I have a small problem configuring the shoutcast setup, I've searched for an answer before writing but can't find what I needed. Don¡t know what to put in the setup fields, the passwords are obvious but the User Id & Licence Id don't know what to wright the same thing happens with the Listener Stream Path and how it's supposed to be set. Please if you are kind give me a hand with the setup settings Thank you in advance! |

I have a hosting windows 2016 dedicated server with a domain of my potential radio station, I install shoutcast on my windows server configured the setup, but when I put the stream path in, that's my domain and I tried with the servers ip the server shows localhost in the streaming path and I don't know what to do.
When I start winamp in my pc the Shoutcast source DCP starts, I insert the server name with the ip and the domain name but still doesn't connect to the shoutcast server- I tried every combination possible to connect to the server, but still cant connect. Don't know if it is the firewall or some error of the shoutcast server configuration. Please can someone help me with my problem, many thanks. |

How about explaining what you did that solved the issue,
perhaps one day another user might benefit from your situation. |

Please don't laugh at me, but I contacted the hosting service and ask if they are limiting my server so that I can't stream and they told me that the server has no limitacion.
So after playing around with my servers firewall I notice that the ports don't open so I call them back and ask if it's something wrong and finally they told me that the ports open form the server hosting panel not form the OS, So I opened the port and on it goes. I know, I'm dumb! |

![]() one thing to mention: a shoutcast DNAS is a high-bandwidth, low CPU, low disk-storage server, so if you're gonna pay for hosting, put your money on the bandwidth. /* v2 HTML5 / Player test pages DigitalMixNYC, DigitalMixNYCbx | DNAS Status: Now Playing js codes (scaststatus_X.php) | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP | dnasDir */ |

Nope non of the above, first time i ever setup shoutcast i made all the mistakes i could make nowdays the setup depends on the speed of the computer and if that is a fast one , it will take up to a few minuts to get everything going........ experience comes with years and nobody started being a expert. |
