5.63 CD Burning Issues

Hi all.

I recently starting having issues burning CD's using Winamp Pro v. 5.63 on my PC. The CD will burn fine and Winamp will verify the burning process was completed with no errors. However, I have had 3 CD's now where track 1-3 work fine, track 4 starts "skipping" towards the end of the song, tracks 5-7 wont even play, and tracks 8 through the end of the disc work just fine. By "skipping", the audio kicks in and out, or is completely non-existant. My CD player still recognizes that there is a track on the disc. I saw the most recent update "resolved reported burning issues".
To save you some time, firmware is updated, latest software is running. Also, computer does not run a screen saver, nor any processes that shut off monitors/HDD's during this process. Disk defrag's and cleanups ran weekly.

Thanks.

This is sounding a bit like a hardware of media issue,

Try some of these :

Use a differnt burning program, try burning from Windows Explorer.
Use a different brand of disc, play swapsies with a mate.
Use a differet burn speed,
Do the disc play OK on a differnt machine,
Any chance you can borrow a different burner from a mate and try that,

I had this problem before, I bought from store a bulk of cd's and most of those are really getting me sick... same thing happens with yours Storm.

Try to change the brand of your cd, might be help. As will as I did.

Hey guys thanks for the quick responses! Oddly enough I had trouble in the past with black-faced CD's, and the stack I have now is multi-colored. Orange ones, great. Got to the black ones, problems. I will see what happens than, and if the problem is not resolved, I will try different programs and putzin with the hardware.

Thanks
