rant: my dad will look at setting up some new protocol definitions this weekend. Mainly Red Faction, and I'll see if I can get him to do DC. I will let you how it turns out.

Rant, I only openned port 412, and it is working fine for me in active mode. In passive mode, I didn't have to open any ports, though . . .

Depends on how your firewall is setup, I suppose. Mine is setup to protect, not to screw all users and blck everything. (i.e. Shoutcast works)

Hmmm not sure how you could connect to a hub without allowing access on port 411. That shouldn't work. I use @Guard firewall so it's set up totally manually. I choose what app connects on what port to what address. Are you by chance using a per-app firewall like Zonealarm?

There is one outbound TCP connection that you will need to allow on port 80 to www.neo-modus.com in order to load the public server list. I haven't used thia cause I've just used the one hub to connect to an mpc sharing group. If you don't allow this connection the server list will fail to load.

My firewall is built ito my router. It allows outbound traffic to pass unhindered. Somehow it also allows "requested" traffic in. I'm not really sure how it handles that part.

That doesn't really sound that secure if it's allowing traffic to flow unchecked. Trojan activity would go undetected.
At any rate DC is making all these connections but with your setup basically wide open like that you probably aren't seeing them.

I have been told it is ok to list the number publically. If you would like to join, the ip address to connect is 24.197.148.151

Enjoy your day!

I don't really care a bit about trojan activity. It's not worth the hassle to block it. I don't have anything that secret on my computer. I'd use Zonealarm if I did.

Missy, thank you for setting up the hub. I'll be on in a few minutes, hopefully.

To all of you that were just in there, I am such a blonde. I hit the wrong button and totally disconnected the hub.

It is working again, I am sorry.
