Need Help!
Hi.... i am having a problem with my computer. What happens is when i a playing music with any app (winamp, media player, anything that plays mp3 files) every so often my computer with freeze with a medium pitch sound coming form the speakers. I have also noticed that the CPU usage goes to 100%. I have reinstalled drivers for my sound card several times. My system is: AMD 1.3Ghtz Thunder Bird
Creative SB Live! Value sound card 512 Mbts of SDram And a Nividia 64Mbs vid card any help would be usefull thanx |

find an app that reads CPU TEMP, MOBO TEMP and Case TEMP.
YOu might be over heating. ......... |

Try Tech Support Greatest Hits, there are lots of issues with SB cards.

i dont think it is over heating, and i dont think the real problem is the sound card, i think the noise is just a side affect of the computer freezing.

I have windows 98SE and DX 8.0 If it really starts to bother me i will just take it out and use the one on motherboard. It doesn't freze that often, but when it does it will do it several times.
