How about an OSX version?

An OSX version would be a great way to add some of these formats that OSX lacks like APE and FLAC. I would definitely pay for an OSX version just to play all my FLACs on my G5...

Don't expect to see Winamp 5.X to be ported to any other OS, ever. And even still, plug-ins would need to be ported too.

That's to bad... As MS looses it's grip on the desktop, it would be nice to be ahead of the game instead of playing catch up. Linux and OSX are solid platforms that only lack software to take over. That is something that MS has and they lack. Times they are a changing though. The problem is that so many people think you need to open your source to develop on these platforms and they couldn't be more wrong... People pay for good products on any platform... Open or closed...

Thanks,
Steve

Yeah, I want (coughNEEDcough) and osx version. iTunes is soooooo over-rated, winampslibrary is just masterful and i'd love to see winamp on mac.

Pretty please?

from what i can gather, the priority has always been win32, then linux (which is being worked on) and then if the devs can get a mac to work on then OSX (since it's not too different from *nix and all that )

it's still some way off before a new linux build tho (work is happening though i believe)
