Microsoft.NET (mscorwks.dll) causes high cpu usage
Hi,
every time I start Winamp, the cpu usage rises up to 50-80%, sometimes even more. An insight with tasexplorer showed that this is caused by an .dll named mscorwks.dll, which is a part of Microsoft.NET (v.2.0.50727). I can't delete .NET as it's necessary for other programms. The problem continues even after several updates of Winamp, and even after a complete re-installation. My OS is Windows XP, SP3. Does anyone have a idea what I could do? On another computer with the same settings I don't have that problem. Thanks a lot, smartn |

Hi Andre,
no, I don't have any .net plug-in installed. And the problem even occured when I had installed just the pure Winamp - without any additional plug-in. Any idea?... |

Problem solved (which took me hours of trial and error):
The constantly high cpu usage was caused by the "WinampToTxt.2.3" plugin, which somehow intermingled with mscorwks.dll. |
