Where Is Metadata File?

Hi all, newbie to the world of shoutcast/radio streaming etc, I am trying to configure a wordpress radio player to play my friend's existing shoutcast radio station for his website.

The normal (working) streaming link for the station does not work with the plugin, they tell me I have to use a metadata file, similar to this one for example

http://stream.rockradio.si:9034/stats?sid=1

How do I obtain this link for the station I'm trying to set up on the website? I have the login for my friends shoutcast account but no such metadata link seems to be there, just streaming links...

On the site the stream plays fine using the streaming links but does not pull the artist/song info due to lack of metadata file.

I've had no reply from shoutcast customer care.
