Unchecking a previously installed component in the installer when updating question

I will be updating Winamp to its latest version, and am deciding to uncheck some components of the installation that I'm not using.

If these components are previously installed, will unchecking them in the installer when updating, uninstall or remove these components?

Yes. there may be some traces left behind, but they will not be functional anymore.

If you have added additional 3rd party components(i.e. other than from the installer) they will remain intact and have to be uninstalled seperately if required.
