Refugee from iTunes bringing a couple of classics and a nano.

I am playing the refugee and trying to find something to befriend my classic that is still in good working order.

Some of the forum posts suggest that it is easy to sync my classics to WINAMP but I cannot find any details such as do I need to keep all of just bits of iTunes.

Can someone signpost me towards any How To's on getting my classic connected up to WINAMP using WIndows 10 pls?
