cutting out

Hi,
I go onto winamp and listen to a radio station
then after maybe 1 min 59 it will cut out

This has been happening for the last 4 or 5 days

Some one said I should increse the buffering.... is that possible ?

they do, but it can take a few days and posts made on the weekend (as yours was) often fall under that category since this is not a live (i.e. always monitored) support method.

preferences -> plug-ins -> input -> nullsoft mpeg audio decoder -> "streaming" tab adn there's the options.

it may not help and the fact it's timing out at the same time repeatedly makes me think it's more something to do with the server providing the stream than it being Winamp. so providing a sample link would be helpful for someone else to a) try to replicate and b) see what might be going on if it is reproducible.

you may be right, I got a new modem from aol a few weeks ago,

never had this prob in the past 5 years using winamp !

Ive been going over to Tune In ... to listen to radio.

It will cut out but it usually buffers back

The fact that it cuts in Tune In too, prob proves that the prob is not
with winamp.... maybe the stream is jumping ports randomly in some way ?
Could this new modem be the problem ?
Something is very wrong and as I listen to internet radio so much,
its a constant pain !
