I'm trying to devise a way to launch winamp from a prompt and skin it at the same time. I use an autorun to launch it but doing a load switch for the skin pops up a message. Is there a way to ovoid this message and just skin winmap.
change winamp skin no prompt

nope, it was implemented as a security precaution after a modern skin vulnerability a few years ago and will remain in place.
the only way around it that i can think off is to manually copy the skin to the skins folder and edit the skin= entry in winamp.ini (under the [winamp] section) - is all doable as a mini app called from a bat/script

can the current skin be refreshed? like with a short cut key or via a lunched file.
explanation:
I run what I call mp3 cd's. When I insert a new cd I want to load the new skin which is located in the same spot d:\skins of the cd. So I just want the new skin loaded on insert. Am I still out of luck?
