I have HDTV, but on sunday, he's getting rid of the satellite and switching to standard old cable... He says that cable's cheaper and that he can't even tell the difference between standard and HDTV. No more CSI and 24 in HD, no more Discovery- & ESPN-HD!

Parental ignorance frustrates me....

This is a sig of some nature.

Wow, nice one

The hubby is celebrating his first Father's Day tomorrow by working most of the day at the Resturant But, he's already opened the gift I got him, a pair of vintage 40's-50's cuff links with matching tye clip. So, tomorrow, the rugrat and I are going shopping for a dress shirt that requires cuff links

For my dad, I'm going over to his place and cook him his favorite dish of mine: chicken-fried steak with creamstyle gravy and corn bread muffins Very fattening stuff, so he doesn't get to eat it too often.

The HDTV terminal and free channels cost me about $7.00 more a month than the older converter.

If he's getting cable already, it's not that much for the Digital Terminal...??

Well there ya go then - he pays for it, so it's his call. And even so, I doubt it would cost that much - $50 per month is probably much more than what your entire cable package costs to begin with.

It's not as if you are suddenly being deprived of your favourite channels - it;s just that it's not oh-so-bright-and-shiny for you that you seem to find a problem. Count yourself lucky - I was 18 before I had more than two channels at any given time. And that was when I moved into my own place and was paying for them myself.
