Domokun is the best thing ever. He looks like a gigantic fierce Weetabix.
This is a Weetabix for the non-UKers http://home.uchicago.edu/~nmchang/Weetabix%201.jpg

I'm off to build one now

Bollocks, if you pour milk on him and leave him for the 3 seconds it takes to remove your teabag from your morning tea, he WILL disintegrate and turn into tasteless vomit.

I actually have, and it sure is minimal in every aspect. But I just can't live without clean scalable fonts, SVG icons, moderately aesthetical gui and some more gnome goodies. Gnome taking lot of RAM doesn't really bother me much... when firefox takes ~100 and azureus it's whooping ~350 I'm left ramless anyway... heh... (not really, because some of it is shared yada-yada-yaa...).

What is the name of the theme/skin that you used on your start menu/ taskbar? Also, what app are you using to skin, I've heard of Window Blinds, but it seems to use a lot of system resources.

Thanks,

To the other 98 users, can you please post your comp's specs. Perhaps my desire to upgrade can be put off a little longer if I see other's suffering with a <1GHZ system .

Same exact stats as my setup, except mines an AMD. Haha, Winamp classic is just about the only piece of software that runs the way I want it to on this ancient rig.

Since about late May of 2005, this is how my desktop was:

[image]http://www.ulillillia.us/temporary/mydesktopthumbnail.jpg[/image]

1600x1200 JPG image (~230 KB)

In case you're wondering, this is the game I'm developing, one of the many worlds available. I'm making modifications to the buildings to both improve the frame rate and have more buildings. The stats are in the top left corner. The game I'm making is more like a classic in nature and has a very simple design to it so it's easy to make and program. Details about the game are available here.

I don't have much of anything on my desktop for one main reason: I almost never see it. Each icon uses 16 kilobytes of disk space (due to cluster size). I almost never see it for one obvious reason: all my windows (and I have many of them) are maximized. I only see it when I just turn on my computer and when I'm about to turn off my computer (or restart it).

My old desktop background, from around 2003 or so (I rarely change it) is my script's logo and it's of low quality. Go here to see it. Yes, at the time, I did have my mouse connected, it just went haywire on me to I had to exchange it.

void BlueWater() {water.color=blue; while(GameRunning) {if (fox.pos == InBlueWater) {fox.air--; FoxDrown(fox.air);} else {fox.air=1800; fox.flags = WantsToGetWet; } WaitFrames(1); }} // My top favorite thing in 2D Sonic (as C)

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Currently Running
Win98 SE
Winamp 5.05
Firefox 1.0.4
Cpu: 450Mhz PIII (oc to 504Mhz)
RAM: 2x64MB PC100 SDRAM
HD: 10 GB 5400 Western Digital
Video: Diamond Viper V770 TNT2 Ultra 32MB

plenty fast for the apps of today so unless one is into playing computer games or doing video editing there should be little incentive for most to upgrade. If your contimplating upgrading I would put it off untill at least next year when 64bit dual core cpus are more previlant and more importantly cheaper. If you do decide to upgrade this year I would suggest an AMD 939 chipset for the mobos that use this chipset are compatible with both current AMD simprons and athlon64s as well as their new dual core offerings.ergo you could get a cheap simpron today then buy into dual core when it has come down in price and when programs demand multiple threads. If you want to add a little pep to your current rig with out incurring a great debt, I would suggest a fresh install of your OS (I do mine about every 18~24months, big help) and/or putting another chip of ram in to get it up to 128MB (because apps of today are ram hungery).
