Too bad nobody's ever found anything.

It just feels so... FUTILE sometimes

I think i have 17 WU's done now. I'm catching up!! But I keep getting those stupid slow ones... I've had some that take 15 hours to complete, and some that take 4. Dunno what's up with that.

I keep it on at school whenever I have the time to open it up.
Also its running on my older computer. That takes like 50 hours to do one workunit.

It'll also take 100% of your CPU time if you run it in the foreground...makes for a good stress-testing tool...

I ran SETI@Home from my school's network on a wireless network notebook computer. Went out as far as 300 feet away from the building before the lan connection died.

Almost did kill the batteries on that thing running SETI.

Go stick your head up your arse, you sarcastic little bastard.

If you want to waste all the money you spent on your computer by it not doing anything while you're not using it, please do. Personally I prefer mine to actually DO something.

Now get lost

unsure. i think it'll take a few days or even a couple of weeks to implement, as i'll have to install it on each then hide it; can't be using more than one computer per day

As he traveled to a far off land, he found he wasn't traveling alone, but that he had gained companions, and when they found their new land, they started work on a new temple, one that would be OPEN to all who wanted to worship.

What determines the speed?

Well, you can overclock your processor so they'll run faster, or supercool down your computer so electrons can pass quicker through the processor.

Ok. wtf.

http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/f...user_stats_new

As you can see I have signed up, compleated a workunit (and am half way through my second wu and will be having this running in the background from now on), but still when I enter my email address to have the seti@home website email me my password, nothing gets sent. And since I don't have it I can't join a group.

I can't rememeber if I entered a password when I signed up, but I only ever use one password, and that doesnt work when I try to join, so I guess I never chose a password.

Do I have to wait 24 hours or something before they give me a password?
