This program does NOT run completely in the background, if I were to play a moderately intensive game, I start to experience computer lag.

I close it before ripping or burning a cd as well. Just seems to slow stuff down. But, its not a big deal because i just close t for a few minutes and then open it back up.

its not that much faster.

the GUI version's image is rendered in openGL.... so your graphics card is doing the work to make the picture.

maybe less than 5% slower.

I did a few WU's and my PC was a bit straped for voltage.... hence the shit score... fixed now. I should be pumping out good WU's now.

I actually think that the graphical version is more like 10% faster, but I don't have anything to prove it. Also, there will always be a tiny performance hit by running something in the background, but there have been benchmarks done that show that any performance hit due to folding is minimal. I'm not saying that this must be true in every case, but in most it is.

Keep folding!!!

I've had a couple that were 400 but took different times (one very fast and the other fairly slow) but they gave different amounts of points, so the number of frames isn't much of an indication of how long a unit will take.

Ok, I see.
Well, anyway, for me it mostly takes a lot of time to complete a WU...
And I get a lot of points for it (only 3 WU, and 719 points).

If you have the console version of the FAH client you can tell it to send results: fah4console -send all

After downloading V5.00 the console keeps starting up when I boot, this slows down my computer. Anyone know where to change it?
