I shall submit my 400 frame in a day or so.

Anyone know why my client is running on the Gormacs core instead of Tinker? I heard that Tinker was faster on AMD systems and vice versa.

[I'm running extremely fast on the Gormacs, must be the other way around.]

It depends on the type of work unit which core it will run.

Good job fellas, I haven't been around ina while, but all seems to be going well still. I definitely recommend upgrading to client v5.02 if you haven't already to avoid any problems that might arise otherwise. Keep up the good work!!!

I'm still contributing, but have been away for a few days and my PC (which has been doing most of my work units) has been turned off.

Or go with the console version, it's supposed to be faster although I'm not sure if that applies when the GUI version is minimised.

It does apply even when the GUI version is minimized. Even though you don't see the graphics, calculations for them still occur in teh background and they will only slow you down.

I'll be back when I finish ripping my cd collection. I only have time to do a couple a day because of homework.

I put this thing in a few days ago and see it running in the taskbar doing something. Is that pretty much all I have to do?

yes, yes it is. youll notice that your cpu usage should be at or around 100% all the time. Just right click taskbar image to stop F@H from eating up Idle process (if you are doing anything big)

Nope, that PC does nothing but run Apache for people to make requests on my station. I don't even have a keyboard or monitor attached to it, so as far as I'm concerned it can eat all the idle CPU it wants
