Hehehe cool.

Yea, would be awsome if they included some more of the colorthemes from this tread.

Joe user, doesn't know how to edit colorthemes, having an abundance of them right in the pack increases the % of customers that are satisfied, and that finds a colortheme that fits their desktop/preference.

My skin was created out of nesesety, cause i love the idea of a sleek desktop that folows a design to the letter.

Actually, what would be nice is if some kind programmer could write a simple gen_ plugin that could import everything between the <gammaset id=""></gammaset> tags into either the main color-presets.xml or create a new xml in plugins\colorthemes\modern\themename.xml, just simply paste the contents into a text box and click import or something like that.

I requested a feature about some sort of "skinname.themename.colortheme" file support to avoid deleting custom skins when installing new versions.

But... the mods just directed me to this thread.

Dipso, If you read the the first 2 or 3 pages of this thread there already is a way

Make a new folder in the Winamp\plugins\ColorThemes\Winamp Modern\(put theme.xml here)

I have uploaded the themes.xml(in the zip) The main diff is that with the themes.xml, it actuall has an xml header in it

Well here you go. if that doesn't work PM with your email and the path you have installed winamp to (only if you haven't installed it to the default path)and I will send you a self extracting zip.

That would take a lot of work. Considering that the installer doesn't moddify the original .xml file if you want to know what they are you can always open the xml file and see.

winamp\skins\winamp modern\xml\color-presets.xml

I suggest you use notepad or wordpad to view them. as both will show you the raw xml code without any extra formating

also, how do i know know what parts of player are labeled as what in the xml log?

Check the various *elements.xml or just change a line, save your theme, press F5 to reload the skin and see what has changed.

let me see if i got this right, I open up a png from the modern skin directory.
then i change the color.
then i copy the color code thing from the program.
then i paste it into the xml
my question- how do i tell what png matches which part of the xml file?
does there happen to be a thing that tells me what part of the xml file modifies what part of the player? I'm too lazy to change each one and see the difference.

the best advice I can give you is to set the value to an extreme like value="4064, -4096, 4064"(Magenta), refresh the skin(F5), and see what all got changed, then find the png that matches, if it is a list text like the playlist or media library, then trial and error may be the only way.

Yeah, I did the same until until gaekwad2 mentioned it a little further above. Makes things much easier.

edit: But now the color editor has been released, it will simplify the process a bit.
