winampa.exe and opacity (Please help!)

I have installed the latest build of winamp(491) and just like the first version i installed, the winampa.exe that goes into the easy load section of task bar at the far right next to the clock still wont load winamp. it seems useless. why is that?

also, putting the playlist opacity or any winamp window opacity at any level makes no difference. it still stays the same opacity. scale works but not the opacity. why? thanks!

Using another OS other than Windows 2000 or XP, perhaps? OS'es like Windows 9x and ME do not support Alpha Blending.

i hate to say this but please don't use development builds if you want tech support.

these builds are known to have bugs and major problems and are not meant for public usage.

winamp agent (winampa.exe) keeps file extensions in order so other programs can't steal the mp3 file extension from winamp
