hi! i would like to report a kind of bug... it happens when you try to make a multiple selection by using the key "shift", it selects much more than you really want.
i use it very often for selecting all albums from the same artist, for example, and it would be nice to work fine. thanks so much! |

pechorin: that's a known issue. haven't figured out why yet.
Here is a new build for the brave ones. Changed most of the internals to unicode. Let me know if I broke something again. Still need to do the reading and saving of unicode config settings. http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/a...stv207b309.exe * might have to wait a while for it to be available Album List for Winamp - Download: v1.43, v2.06, v2.07 beta Wallpaper for Playlist Editor - Download: v1.06 |

Also fixed jump to album, added reading/saving config settings for unicode search paths, cover paths, etc. http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/a...stv207b312.exe Album List for Winamp - Download: v1.43, v2.06, v2.07 beta Wallpaper for Playlist Editor - Download: v1.06 |

pechorin: I changed to use a function that is more locale specific instead of doing a 'numeric' compare. Check the 'help' on the function if you're interested.
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms647476.aspx glop: Yes. But it is probably closer to the 'original' JTF and you press F3 instead of "J". Album List for Winamp - Download: v1.43, v2.06, v2.07 beta Wallpaper for Playlist Editor - Download: v1.06 |

Hello Safai,
I love the fact that the caching of covers now checks if changes have been made... Finally makes Cover view usable for me, especially with 2500 albums using 120x120. I like cover view, but also find the details view more usable at times, especially with the genres column now populating correctly. Would it be possible to add a quick switch button to the bottom of the album view window so that you could quickly toggle between the two modes rather than having to right click and go through the context menus? Thanks for such an awesome and quite possibly the best plug-in ever developed! :-) Dave - ![]() Beware The Penguin |

I have problems with album detection :
For my albums, I'm used to create a folder for each album. In past, AL was detecting each album automatically when a M3U file was found on it (which mean my "file type to search" edit contain only the CUE extension, nothing else) As example : \my_album\ \my_album\folder.m3u \my_album\file.mp3 \my_album\file.wav Since the unicode support, (started testing with the 207b312), folders containing a M3U file which carrying a simple period char (2E, to permit to load all supported files found in a folder to winamp's playlist), aren't detected anymore. Curiously, it still detecting it but only if unicode is used (EFBB BF2E) OR if it is one bit larger (2E 0D0A 0D0A) In fact, now it need a M3U file bigger than 2 byte to be detected (against 1 byte before). It is not a big deal, and I can easily fix all my M3U playlist files, but could you take a look, even to just to figure why it happen ? Anyway, good luck, I'm glad you still developing that sweet plugin ![]() BTW, I'm planning (yesterday I discover in_zip O_O) to add archives support to AL (to support detection and cover loading into using zip, rar, waz files for the great in_zip plugin), are you interested about it? |

Sure, thx. Nothing 'special' about unicode filenames, you just need to use a slightly different set of API (which maps pretty nicely to the ones you're used to)

I forgot to post a bug introduced with latest betas (after 207 build 300 I think...)
dragging an album from Album List to Winamp playlist, the result is a playlist with (inexistent) tracks with just only one letter name (producing in sequence the filename of the first audio file of selected album) and the path is the current Winamp directory Winamp 5.35 & Album List 2.07 b313, all tags are id3v2.3 UTF-16 on Windows XP SP2 in red, missing (inexistent) files can someone confirm this? bye ![]() |

Hey Safai,
A couple months ago I put a request on your SF form, and was just wondering if you saw it http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.p...orum_id=226257 Basically I was wondering if you could do a 3D view of the album art like ITunes Heres a quick photoshoped screenshot of what i'm thinking http://img288.imageshack.us/img288/3...bumideatb1.jpg in order to do the 3D part, you could collaborate with this plugin http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=147248 |

Yeah, I saw that. Since I know nothing about 3D programming. I'll leave that to the more capable guys.

hi safai! i have seen you have been working in new versions of the album list plugin.
are you considering the option for adding single tracks? like a interface with two lists, one with albums and the other with the songs of the selected albums. that would be great great work anyway, your plugin makes winamp the best music player |

Finally found where to put this
I just downloaded Album List 2, and BOY does it have potential. But I organize my music by where I get it from, not by album/artist. If absolutely necessary, I can organize it this way, but it would completely break all my playlists, which would suck beyond all comprehension. (my playlists range from 100 to 400 songs each, recreating them would be... well, you get the idea.)
When I use Album List, it shows the folders (the people who I get the music from) as albums, and not the actual albums as listed in the media library. For the few single-album folders that I have, it works perfectly, by taking the ID3 tags and using those. I was wondering, does anybody know how I can get it to completely ignore the directory names, and get the album info exclusively from the iD3 tags (which I keep very well maintained?) According to the preferences window, this should already be happening (I have the "Use id3 tag if present" box checked). I can edit the .ini file 7 ways to sunday if necessary, but I don't know where to start. Also, if there were a way to get it to extract the album information directly from the media library, skipping the folder trees entirely, that would work wonderfully. Thanks! |

Is it possible to play a random album by genre?
I figured you can play a random album by a selected artist (right-click on the album, and press play --> Play random album by xxx), so maybe you can do it with genre's too? I really like this plugin, keep up the good work ![]() |

Feature Request
Access to Winamp's 'Send To' menu when right clicking an album.
This would be really useful for sending full albums to an ipod and probably would have many other uses as well. Would this be possible? I know it send to actions to work on multiple files via the media library, so I would imagine that it is on this too. |

Unfortunately, as thrilled as I am that you are actively updating this, the issue with the albums still not using id3 tags (despite having the "use id3 tag" box checked the entire time) is still in there. Also, this latest build now no longer displays any embedded album art, which defeats pretty much the entire purpose of this plug-in. In case any of this info helps, I'm running windows vista home premium 32-bit edition, on a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop with an AMD sempron 3500+ 1.8Ghz, 1GB of RAM, and an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphics card. (don't know why the last one would matter, but I figured I'd include it anyway.)
I really like the idea of this plug-in, it's the closest anyone's come to iTunes coverflow (or whatever it's called). However, this build is actually worse for me than the 2.06 version, which has working album art. |

Well, if you don't have 'one album per folder', then this is not going to work the way you expect.
Album List's database is organized around folders (albums), not files (songs) like ML. You should try the new Winamp beta which will display album art in ML also. Album List for Winamp - Download: v1.43, v2.06, v2.07 beta Wallpaper for Playlist Editor - Download: v1.06 |

YES! That would be exactly what I'm looking for! Where can I find it please, I'd really like to mess around with it and I don't mind using beta software.
Thanks for the info, I'm going to look for it myself! |

Hi Safai,
great plug-in you provide. ![]() 1. I don't use album list for managing complete albums in my PL. I rather like the album art implementation. Now I wonder if it's possible to set an option for the following behavior: When I search a song/album via the cover art view in ML, I would like Album list with a double click to change to the album in Local Maedia > Audio, so that I'm able to drag a song of that album to PL. Maybe not the originally intended behavior, but I would love to see that option in AL. 2. Are there any mimimum system requirements for AL? Because with my old laptop I have problems to catch all album covers (1000+ with "cover.jpg") from my NAS. Immernoch aktuell in 2018!!! ![]() |

Still among the best (and best-supported) plugins out there...
Feature request - now that the minibrowser is broken (even using the gen_mbapi.dll), how about making AL display the cover for the current album in the new Album Art window? |

Its a great plugin!
The nicest feature would be to have the option to show covers like in iTunes Coverflow. There is a coverflow clone for windows written in C++ http://labs.beffa.org/coverplay/ Its no longer in development but the guy is really nice and gives you the code if you ask. I wanted to make it a plug-in for winamp but I have no programming experience. Maybe its possible to intergrate his code into album List? I would make winamp the sleekest thing ever |
