Have YOU ever replaced a screen that has a ballast with a screen that does not have a ballast before? I hadn't until recently.

I recommend you watch the HD version since the lighting isn't top-notch.

Never done that, but I did build my daughter a very nice Lenovo T410 out of two broken ones.

Saved a packet, but it was all very fraught and one of those things that you only just manage to pull off. Big sigh of relief at the end of it all.

And I did work out how to shutdown XP without mouse-clicking on Shutdown from the Start menu by opening a command prompt and running the shutdown command with the proper parameters.

I would actually call this "the wrong way to make a thread showing how I failed at something" (please be humorous about it).
In iomegajaz - impossible - defense I would say that, without prior notice, it's not obvious the specific purpose of the video.. I thought something like he did, thought you posted the video to show how other screwed up while pretending to be a technician.. I thought the epic fail was there until I saw the length of the video (waaaay too long..) and until I saw his post.. Then I knew the epic fail was somewhere else haha.

Very brave on both of you to treat the incident like gentlemen.
