Setup Help
Hello.
I'm trying to set up a live stream from my recording studio so I can broadcast to clients as i work on their music. I'm trying to setup a cheap / free solution that has better sound quality than Skype etc. So I'm trying to setup Shoutcast, but am really struggling. I've downloaded the server and DSP plugin for Winamp. From reading all the setup information i gather I should be able to broadcast straight from my machine, but have also registered for a freemium server account at Shoutcast.com. Do I need that? I have attempted to follow all the stickies here and the instructions at Shoutcast.com, but am getting nowhere. Do i configure & run the DSP plugin first or the server? Anyone interested in helping a fairly competent DIYer with lots of patience, quiet a lot of experience fiddling with computers, but seems to have hit a complete blindspot on this? |

You do not need to make a Freemium Account if you do not want to use the monetization and YP of SHOUTcast.
A configuration generator is also included with the versions. |
