Spiders are creepy, but I still like 'em, except for that one I almost drank.. Okay, well I just noticed from one of the vids which I watch before going to bed that the remote has a longer vis on it. I'm assuming on for the right channel and one for the left, me like. I still love that effect when you switch between the songticker and the visulization, and I would like to know how you accieved it, is it all Nem's super l33t coding skills or two of Neko's beautiful little animations?

Ohh yeah, I have more questions, thats right, yeah. Okay, here it is. Is the button that is used to change between the VS and the song info going to stay how it is, because it is currently covering up the first few bands of the left vis. I think it would be nice to have it partialy alpha blended just when the vis is running behind it, that way you can still use the button and have it in place with the song info but you will be able to see the who vis, which is a little pet peave of mine.

Windmills, is lameness your middle name?
In case you didn't know this, you should never push an artist to finish his work in such a blunt way, be nice. Several artists have already left the scene(not talking about the skining scene, but it's part of it) because of people who act like you.

Stop.

Would you rather neko rush it just so you can get it quicker, or would you prefer he takes his time and makes a perfect skin windmills??

Windmills please relax. That last post was one of the hardest ones I've ever had to read and I'd ask that you please edit it, Also I think you're going to have to have a little patience this time. And it's not like there arn't two movies and a boat load of ss for you to drool over until this is out, which should be in a little under two weeks. Less time in development than many other skins, including Epsilux the new version of Probe and the full version of Auriga.

Lightbulb

I understand that less time means more bugs, but alpha versions does not mean a full workable thing. It's just for relaxation, small thing that will make waiting easyer. Alpha version is made for showing people graphics, and some animations. I'm not asking too many, just to go little faster.

I suggest you consider http://www.naoneo.com/Tmp/remote.avi to be an alpha version as it shows people graphics and a little animation. I'm just saying this because they probably, like most skinners, don't want to release it before it is done, so they wont.

windmills, relax man.
Spider's got some complex graphics, it will take some time for neko to finish his design before he can have a working version.
actually he has working versions but still very early to use them as media player.
I tried some of them and trust me, the avi files are enough for you to have a preview.

ECS mode complete, bear in mind that the transition between day and ECS mode are animated, so it looks alot cooler when its running, the light also pulses slightly and can alter its colour, the final version (hopoefully), with the new layer_fx teqniques, will be beat reactive

I think it looks sweet but I also think that those two panels that uncovered the lights looks somewhat out of place, maybe because of their border that really puts them "out" and not as stream lined as the rest of the skin...

Correct me if I'm wrong...

i bet that this (like any other skin) will get boring after a day or two.

i just hope that spider will have some surprise elements.. that will keep one using the skin to find hidden animations

i mean, that kind of stuff wants me to keep using it, just like WarCraft3, the game is boring and annoying, the the fact that i want to see the next beautiful cinematic is the one that makes me going
Although i already know how to watch all of the cinematics from the cd

like.. im in the settings window, and somewhere, i find some kind of a dot or some clickable place (hard to notice), suddenly when i click it, something happens to the spider

I'm planning on using Spider as my default skin once it comes out, just the thought of having that baby leering back at me through the screen sends chills down my spine! Ohh I just can't wait!

<rant>Hmm, I just though, what would happen to Winamp3 if I was to delete the Default.wal... It's just to much fun pondering over it to actualy try out! And i'd have to interupt my Brandstonfest to do it.</rant>

Nice...

The panels which pop out for that effect should darken slightly as the light brightens, I think...would make them seem less artificial.

[EDIT]
Also maybe have the light bleed a couple pixels past the edges of the panels...

I'm with him, they do seem a little bit out of place, but I still think this is the coolest looking effect I have seen on a skin.

ok I told Nemm this allready, but just wanna know if more people feel the same:
[qoute][
[08:46] <Simon_Snowflake> maybe stupid, but does the spider get some sort of shadow casted underneeth?
[08:46] <Nemessis> nope, not yet at least
[08:47] <Simon_Snowflake> because now it really floats, and then it get more solid
