ive recently started to have this problem. im using v2.74

when i try to play many of my mp3s, instead of playing the actual mp3, it plays clips of a bunch of other mp3s as if the file is completely different. ive scanned for viruses and found nothing. and ive un- and reinstalled winamp. no change. thats all i can think of to do. please help!

i know this is vague/confusing but i dont know how else to explain it. im hoping someones encountered this prob before and knows how to fix it. thx

You're right about the "strange and confusing" part. What happens if you load just one song into the playlist - does it play fully???

it depends on the file. a lot of them play just fine. and theres no relationship (that i can see) among the files that are messed up as opposed to the ones that are fine.

Sounds like you have a couple of corrupted files. Try playing them in media player, and see if they cause the same problem.

Don't worry... it's just a bad dream. You'll wake up shortly after the part where the computer blows up in your face.

Clearly as daylight, U have some corrupted MP3z my man. Delete them without feeling sorry. They're useless anyway.
I'm pretty sure thet's the prob. If not, get your soundcard fixed (maybe it's the driver playing this sh!t).

I doubt if it's driver related if most files play fine. Sounds like corrupted files. Download them again before you delete the other ones though.

diff to napster

hi there if u want something different to napster try using audio galaxy http://www.audiogalaxy.com/ and on the front page there is a download satellite, this is the front end, works abit like nap but(I have never used nap) I think it is better than nap. Also if any of your m8s r using it yous can chat to each other through audio gaalaxy chat and so on, good search engine too.
