methinks it wouldn't be useful...
if you do it, make it an option disabled by default... -Plague |

good idea!
I guess you're never even gonna consider remaking the layout in xml instead of c++? ![]() ![]() I personally don't know how hard that would be to do, c++ wise, but if you're willing to make the c++ changes, I can make the xml layout, even though the xml isn't hard at all... dont wait with this new version though ![]() -Plague |

just had an idea for something to add to this wac.
If you know how to do it, it would be cool if you added a menu item to the playback submenu, just like it has in Wa2. -Plague |

i dont know if its possible, but there's a menu item under 'windows'.
anyhow - i dont think anyone would prefer opening it through a menu, when they can simply press j.. |

yea, I just meant it would be exactly like in Wa2 if you did it..
Some people might like it that way.. Anyways, I've heard it's possible but noone knows how, as usual.. ![]() It was just an idea anyways.. -Plague |

for those who wonder, i the new version isnt released yet because im trying to make some beauty fixes with Plague's assitance. Furthermore, winamp.com's component DB is pretty f***d, and i had problems submiting an .exe (taken care of) i hope it will be @ winamp.com this week yonido |

o yeah, while I remember..
you know the 499 bug I talked about? where you have to press J twice for it to show up correctly..? Well, there's another bug apparently, cos if I close the window with the close button, and not by selecting a song, it won't open again when I press J. Although, winkey+J works perfect at all times, no bug whatsoever. So if you could perhaps make J the same way you did winkey+J, all problems should be gone.. ![]() -Plague |

bos: i know, the component is ready and when i uploaded it it deleted the old one - and now the winamp.com database is pretty f***d, so im talking to them to fix it |

yonido...
Attach a ZIP file for the updated component to your very next post in this thread, as you did in your initial post in this thread (which I changed to point to the published component). I will then change the FAQ so that the download temporarily points to the ZIP file, until they eventually REPAIR the screwed up database, at which time you can officially publish your component, and at which time I can then change the download link in the FAQ again to point to the published component. Include any pertinent instructions re:changes within your next post as well, along with the ZIP file, and I'll update the FAQ accordingly. Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp. Instead, either start a NEW TOPIC or post a REPLY in the appropriate thread in these forums. This will also benefit others who may have a similar question or problem. But before posting, please first Search the forums and read all FAQs and all Sticky threads. If the ZIP file exceeds the forum post file attachment size of 102400 bytes, then email it to me at webmaster@nunzioweb.com and I will temporarily host it for you at my server until they repair the screwed up database. |

Component page is already up at my server... J-Key Component for Winamp3 I just need you to email me the actual executable as a file attachment. That way we can have working download links, instead of what I have there now... Quote:

![]() Yonido you rock. If this new j is really as good as it's promise, any chance of integrating it into the 2.9 tree or Winamp 5? |

thanks for support guys, i mailed it to nunzio (my hero) - so i guess itll be available soon.
Turbonutter: yeah, i would sure like to make j for winamp5, but as i see it, nullsoft would make it first, as part of the winamp5.exe itself (as they did in wa2). j.wac also should have been in the next build of winamp3 - but for some reason they only put j.xml in there, w/o the other files (in b499). dunno what up with that, couldnt catch brennan ever since. enjoy the new version! yonido |

well, since wa5 IS wa2 with wa3 skin support (as a plugin) plus a few other things, J is already in it.

Ok. All done.
FAQ has been updated. J-Key Component for Winamp3 is now available for download from my server. I had to of course, eliminate the user reviews/comments fields at my server. That will be restored when the Winamp3 component database is working properly. Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp. Instead, either start a NEW TOPIC or post a REPLY in the appropriate thread in these forums. This will also benefit others who may have a similar question or problem. Thanks Yonido, I'm using WA3 from now on! I feel guilty saying this though, but sorting files in playlist order doesn't seem to work. It's all cool though

hello, ive just tested it on b491 & b488 and it works fine..
this is really weird. please check it out again: goto the pref's window, check both 'search all pl's' and 'sort by pl order'. create 2 playlists, so you can differ between them (each one for a different band, for example) - restart winamp and hit j. in the list, you should see the first playlist items first, and then the second's. waitin for your replies, yonido |

Yonido, I don't know how you did it when you tried (without success) to implement the wasabi.panel fix before, but if you look at the sdk example project "ExampleFreeFormWac", it has this in mainwnd.cpp:
PHP Code:
Then there's only the matter of resizing the panel to the size you want, but I can't see how that would be too hard to do.. You probably know how to do it yourself, otherwise I'll try to help you figure out how. Oh, and the same thing can ofcourse be done with any group, so the 3d edges for the editbox, which uses the group "wasabi.objectframe.group" with a 1pixel margin at each side (meaning, the editbox should be 1 pixel smaller on each side to fit inside the objectframe), shouldn't be much harder to implement. If you still don't have any luck with this, talk to Bizzy D, apparently he has found some other way this can be done aswell.. ..OR, you could just redo the entire window in xml instead (recommended for skinning and because implementing theese groups MIGHT be a problem if someone change the size on the groups for a specific skin, in which your window won't look like it should anymore). I know there are problems with this method aswell, but the same example project explains how to interact with xml created objects, such as the editbox and the list. -Plague |
