Mute Windows Event Sounds During Playback

Sorry, I've spent already too much time wading through forums, plugins, options, faqs, preferences and haven't found an answer, so I'll post now and hope to find a lovely answer when I awake tomorrow morning.

In past versions of winamp (don't remember when), I recall that windows event sounds (like Internet Explorer navigation event, receiving a message, or ms outlook new mail indication sounds) generally WOULD NOT HAPPEN (so they would not interupt your music) while a file was playing in winamp. This function seems to have gone away. It would be great if this was an option that could be enabled or disabled in preferences (e.g., something like: "Mute/Disable all other output from windows/your machine while media is playing."

For now, if it's really important to me, I'll just go to the windows control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices Properties > Sounds and change the Sound scheme to "No Sounds."

It would just be nice to not have to go back and forth to the control panel like that.

Thanks
