Make Winamp ACT LIKE ITUNES

Yes, hang me for heresy or being a male-witch... but I love iTunes.

That said, I just bought an iRiver H320 (wicked awesome) and I wanto to be able to create playlists, etc - therefore I'm coming back to good ol Winamp.

How do I do the following?

1) Make Winamp automatically sort my music files by artist (like iTunes does). I love how you change the ID3 tag and it automatically moves the file for you.

2) Make Media Library give you the 3 windows iTunes browse has. Right now it gives *Album* and *Artist* - I want *Artist*, *Album* AND *Genre*. Is this possible?

I saw some lame post about creating some kind of query thing for each genre, but that's stupid. I want it to show me the genres I have... not me having to go through creating a new genre query each time.

Thanks! I hope I am re-converted back to Winamp and see the light of day (As I'm sure most of you believe).

There is currently a skin being developed by a resident skinner on the forums that will consolidate the windows like in iTunes.

As for the MediaLibrary plugin, well you are on yoru own.

You could just get iTunes, Winamp should NEVER emulate other programs, it's too good for that.

If you like another program, just get it. Don't make stupid posts on how Winamp has to be like that progam.

but k-jöfol what? Can't read minds, you know. At least not over that distance.

The reason for that site is the impending K-Jofol skin plugin for Winamp. This would mean all the nice K-Jofol skins become Winamp skins.

Now get busy and make some, I'll publish them.

your right Winamp should not emulate other programs. i use winamp becuase it works with my mp3 player (walkman a1000) but itunes doesnt things winamp cant like sort my music folder and other such things i wont mention. when winamp can do those things i will perminently switch till then you are losing me and lots of other potential users.
cheers

where are the kjofol skins being published to? that'll be wicked having "freeform classic" skins. hmm and the skins section of winamp.com needs to be able to be sorted by Modern/Classic/(and eventually Kjofol) without having to enter a search.. i feel the catagories don't really cut it. please and thanks

Request: A little SmartView Query Language love.

currently any skins are hosted by myself of wildrose-wally. until the plugin gets sorted out they are unlike to make it on to winamp.com (not withstanding the issues there is getting anything done/fixed with the site at the moment).

within the next 2 weeks work on the k-jofol plugin will be my only aim since the project is already a good year behind schedule and i need to do something to feel like i'm innovating user experience again (since i feel that a lot of the projects i've done beforehand have little to do or have stagnated). also winamp needs better handling of skins (skins in submenu is a start but that needs some more updates to spread it's usability around specifically skin sorting on the skins preferences page - see below attachment)
