Diminish musics sound in movie

Hi everyone,
I have a file with movie (*.wmv) where most part is LOUD musical content and I can't hear what heroes say. Can I diminish the volume of music and at the same time not diminish volume speech with help of Winamp equalizer? I'll appreciated to any advices.

Regards Ivan

Only thing I can think of is to strip out the audio track, try to equalize it to enhance the dialog, then reinsert it back into the .wmv file. Not an easy task and no guarantees of success but that's where I would start.

My hearing is still quite good for some things, but the situation you describe is bad for me too - picking out dialogue when there's lot of background noise or music.

I think it will distort the sound quality as well. You need a hi fi software for this.
