Mobile music player
Hi guys,
need you help. After a few years of WinAmp absence I decided to go back to WinAmp cos I simply couldn't cope with Windows Media Player and the likes anymore ![]() The main thing I am looking for is a player that supports playlist I put together within WinAmp on my PC because I find putting them together on portable devices is a real pain. What players can you recommend that work well with WinAmp? Creative Zen? Which models? Others? Thanks very much for help, Cheers, Phil |

Well, obviously the player itself needs to support playlists. Winamp plays pretty well with almost all portable devices.

Warrior, that is exactly the information I am looking for as I am absolutely no expert in portable players.
I assume that most players have some form of playlist functionality but I would rather get one that can actually read the WinAmp playlist format from my PC. Do you know any? P. |

Most digital audio players will state which playlist formats they support.
Winamp supports M3U (+ M3U8) and PLS, those playlist formats are very very common. Of course the paths to the files would need to be correct for the device and the files on it; that will be the main issue. I'm sure someone knows more about the path issue or any easy way to get it generated correctly for the device. If my iriver wasn't dead I'd probably know the answer. |
