WinXP: Taskbar only shows 1 letter of song

Windows: XP x86 SP3
Winamp: 5.572
Skin: Bento small

The past several versions of Winamp, I've noticed have only shown 1 letter of the current song in the Windows taskbar. The songs in the picture are mp3s with ID3v1 and v2 tagged. Trillian Astra doesn't have any problem picking up the titles either.

Some configuration change that I've missed or this a bug?

Wow... 3 active mp3 input plugins.
To quote Highlander... there can be only one!

Remove these two for starters:
Shibatch mpg123 v1.18y ot112.1 SSE2 [in_!mpg123.dll]
MAD Plug-in 0.15.1 (beta) (with Unicode support) [in_mad.dll]

There's nothing much either of those can do that the Nullsoft in_mp3.dll can't.

Other than that, it could be any of these other 3rd-party plugins to blame:

Listed in order of probability...

Advanced mIRC Integration Plug-In v2.62 [gen_irc.dll]
mp3cue 5.0 [gen_mp3cue.dll]
CUE Player v0.57c [gen_cue.dll] / CUE Player v0.57c [in_cue.dll]
Streamripper For Winamp [gen_sripper.dll]
AudioScrobbler for Winamp v1.1.11p7-DrO INTERNAL TEST BUILD [gen_audioscrobbler.dll]
.mpc Musepack plugin 0.99g [in_mpc.dll] (use this instead)
Valex's AC3 decoder for Winamp v0.60b [in_vac3.dll]
Time Restore & AutoPlay v2.1 [gen_timerestore.dll]
ASIO output (dll version) v0.67 SSE2 [out_asio(dll).dll]
DirectSound output v2.2.6 SSRC [out_ds_ssrc.dll]
Speed v0.03.2 [out_speed.dll]
waveOut output v2.0.2a SSRC [out_wave_ssrc.dll]

(unlikely to be any of the vis plugins, or outputs, though out_asio is active, so you never know)

Delayed response...

Well it appears simply removing those old/disabled mp3 plugins fixed the problem. Not sure why that might be the case since they've been disabled for quite a while and it hasn't been a problem until recently.

any version of Winamp after 5.34 is likely to see the issue as it comes down to older plug-ins not being updated/maintained to work with the newer client version in the way that they 'hook' Winamp to get information.

this issue is popping up more frequently now and not helped by Winamp still being able to load massively out-dated plug-ins (irrespective of them otherwise working correctly).

will just have to find the time to get a remote fix working on them (annoying as that is) and see if that'll help to fix things for plug-ins which can't be updated to be 5.34+ compatible natively.
