24/7 Stream once again

Ive read many Post about 24/7 Stream Online. Ive got Shoutcast with sc_trans running. Is there defnitely no chance that a DJ can connect to the Stream when sc_trans is running so that sc_trans is disconnected automatically? With the current configuration sc_trans needs to be kicked by WebInterface. Id like to have this autmated so that the DJs only have to connect and the Stream switches from Playlist to Live. Is there no chance on doing that with an Linux System?

as far as im aware theres no way to do this as the source needs to be disconnected from the shoutcast server and theres no way for shoutcast dsp to do this

so the web interface will be the best bet i think

good luck

The way i've done this before is having a seperate server that DJ's can connect to.

The stream from this secondary server is then played via the playout system at a specific time. I dont think you can make sc_trans play a stream (Like you could with automation software like SAM).
