Playlist Library view
Im trying to get the playlist window (not the sidebar one, the one within the ML) to show other fields, but in their own "row" similar to how the media library has it, the more things i add in the ATF field, the more theyre added to the filename instead of giving them row of their own.
Im trying to get the same thing the file time has, that way i can sort things in the playlist etc... how do i achieve that? And if it is possible, is it possible to make the sidebar playlist remain the way it is but only the playlist within the ML to have rows? *To remove the currently dead Winamp online stuff, see here: removing online stuff *If you miss the Autotag feature: Gracenote CDDB Autotag alternatives |

none of the playlist views (main or library) do what you want (as i'm sure we've already gone over). the nearest is doing fake columns via ATF but that is crude and generally doesn't work too well.
so i really don't think you're going to achieve what i think you're trying to do - not without a lot of work to change how the playlists work. the only other option is to make a temporary smartview / query and use the path of the files for the playlist to control what is shown for it (but that'll get very messy very quickly to do if not all of them are in the same folder). but that then means you've not got the playlist in it's expected order. either way, it's a request that seems to crop up a bit of late (making at least the library playlist views more like the local library views) so i've put some thought into a possible solution, but there's nothing that is likely to happen towards it for a long while. |

Bugger, this is what I want as well.
I've enabled the silence remover and the fading in DirectSound Output and I feel if I manage my playlists by BPM it'll be the closest possible to seamless playing. Would make a well configured Winamp pretty close to an auto DJ ![]() |

Then I can select all the songs in my active playlist and use the right click misc option (right most button in the group of 4 on the bottom left side) "Read extended info on selection" to force the reading of all the tags in my ATF string for each song in the listing. Then I use the right click sort option (on that same button) "Sort list by title" to arrange the playlist in order by BPM (since the songs' BPM metadata tag values are the first item in my ATF string). Both of these context menu commands also have keyboard shortcuts (and <Ctrl + A> can be used to select all items in the playlist). A custom ATF string is a powerful way to help control the sorting order in the playlist editor. Read the help info associated with the ATF option in General Preferences for all the ways it can be formatted. Windows 10 Home 64-bit v20H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system |

Let us know what you come up with. Some users have some really fancy/complex ATF strings.
It would be nice if Winamp added the ability to save multiple strings (5 to 10), then it would be faster to switch between ATF strings (and eliminate re-typing errors) to satisfy different situations. Windows 10 Home 64-bit v20H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system |
