Delete paths.ini (or remove the value for inidir=)
(paths.ini is in the same dir as winamp.exe) This will make Winamp save settings/database etc in the same dir as winamp.exe (as long as said dir has write permissions, which %ProgramFiles%\Winamp doesn't have, by default). And after doing the above, to prevent the writing of any registry settings (eg. filetype associations), change this setting in winamp.ini no_registry=1 (default value = 0) Note that there's no way to prevent some 3rd-party components such as Sonic Burning Engine & Gracenote CDDB/MusicID from writing to the registry, so you would probably need to uncheck those features in the installer options.... |
