An SHOUTcast server is using what the source is providing, so you have to make sure that your source is 64kb/s. Playlist/Source manager like sc_trans or Liquidsoap can provide the source to more than one endpoint.

the shoutcast server does not do what you're asking.
determining a listeners bandwidth is the job of the client/player. you can create several sources at different bandwidths to send to the dnas, but you can only give the listener choices, so they can decide. you can then create a custom pls with the different streams. put the highest bitrate at the top, so if the listener drops the highest one, their player *may fall to the next, lower bitrate stream. that's the best you can do on your side. /* v2 HTML5 / Player test pages DigitalMixNYC, DigitalMixNYCbx | DNAS Status: Now Playing js codes (scaststatus_X.php) | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP | dnasDir */ |
