Song Title is changed on ADD DIR??

Just wondering why the song title changes for some songs but not others. For example: I will choose a directory which has all Bob Marleys music in it so the song title will read, (B.Marley - I shot the sherrif) after I select this directory of Bobs music and ADD DIR to Winamp. For some weird reason the song title appears in the Winamp list screen as (Toni Braxton - Untitled or Toni Braxton - I shot the Sherrif).?! So the only way this can be corrected is to open the File Info Alt+3, and manually change the song properties. A real pain to say the least. Also for some odd reason the artists name will always / almost always be named "Toni Braxton" This is a glitch that I am baffled by.

I sure hope someone can help me with this little issue. Thanks ahead of time

That's what Winamp is susposed to do. It is reading the ID3 Tags.

Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Plug-ins > Input > Double click on "Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder..." > Title Tab > UNcheck "Use ID3v1/v2 tags"
