Win2K Blue Screen DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Since installing Winamp a couple of weeks ago I've had the above error 3 times. Each time when winamp is playing a cd whilst I work. Prior to installing winamp the machine had been stable for several months.

I've got the latest drivers for my hardware and all critical updates from the windows update site. MS knowledge base article Q293077 refers to this problem in a particularly unhelpfull way.

Has anyone else had this problem?

H/W
Athlon 900, MSI Mobo VIA VT8363 KT133,
256MB RAM
RIVA TNT2 Model 64 based agp card.

built in sound - VIA ?

I also run Winamp at home on a W2K Athlon system, so far no problems

I've been getting this problem on my NT4 proxy server system. I traced the problem back to Tiny Firewall, when my ISP disconnects me, sometimes Tiny decides to cause this IRQL error thing, I uninstalled it and now all is well (apart from me living dangerously with no firewall )

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortuantely I don't run a firewall on my machine, it's behind the company (linux) DMZ.

Next time this happens I'll make a note of the addresses that make part of the message.

Tony.
