BreadBoard Skin

The idea of this skin is going to be plugging various circuits and devices into the breadboards of each window. I was inspired in an ECE class I had to take last semester. I want other devices plugged in too, not just integrated circuits and such. For instance, I'm planning test tubes for the equalizer bars (or equaliser

). The problem will be the text areas.

I realize it's still really primative, but any suggestions, comments, etc?

I had thought about doing something along these lines along time ago...but, damn much better implementation here. Good Job so far...continue please.

Suggestions

Numbers: If its possible you should see if you can get the numbers to light up in the black squares (peg holes) that are on the breadboard. Rather than use the whole space.

Textual: a long EPROMM for the text display area

Vis: LED Readout

Mon/Stereo: Red Lights (Standup Leds)

Volume/Bal: Possible a slide Toggle?

I really like this skin...and I really like your creativity...that's the main reason, also you're pretty good at graphics...
did you discard the wood idea? It looked like wood for me :P anyway I like the skin so far.
what are you going to do with the scrolling text?

Very nice so far. I really like that you've come up with something that looks so different from existing circuit skins, which so far have looked largely the same.

Here's an update. A breadboard is used mainly in electrical engineering -- it allows you to hook up a circuit without having to solder anything (it's the white plastic board with the black base). You just stick wires into the holes of the breadboard, and the holes are connected inside the board. I got to use them in a class last semester, and I thought it might make a decent skin. There is also some random EE crap thrown into the skin, so it kinda has a circuit theme in general.

very good all round . . except. . The library looks a bit dull alongside the rest of the windows. Dropping some colour into the buttons and title headers could help. (or maybe you haven't finished this part yet??)
