Sequel to Euclideamp

I decided to take on a different branch of the mathematical sciences. I won't have much time to work on this for awhile, but oh well ... Dynamics-type diagrams on green engineering paper. I hope it's interesting to more people than just engineers though ... let me know if that isn't the case

Heh. I love sequels to other skins. I love even grouping relatively unrelated skins into "families." This one looks like it may end up even better than Euclideamp did.

Alright, here's the latest. If there are any brilliant ideas for the PL area, let me know. Right now I'm thinking of having a piece of white typed paper taped to the green sheet. People didn't seem to like the white in Euclideamp though. Let me know what you think

I'm not saying it's perfect, but this is what I would do, just becase a)why make more work for yourself and b)it fits in better with the skin. The only thing you might have to worry about it is the lines on the side, but you can probably come up with something.
But yeah, I like everything else so far. I'm very curious about that EQbar animation.

Yeah, I think Luigi's suggestion was good in this case. The large numbers in main are not going to be red. But I thought red text would be cool, simulating a harsh grader. I do have a name: "Lagrangiamp Dynamics." Kinda sticking with the naming scheme of Euclideamp Geometry.

Not bad not bad, but make sure you smooth everything that's pixelly (basically anything that's red right now) out, including the text, because pixelly stuff doesn't do the skin justice.

Alright, better text, some new and changed components, etc. Have fun at Megadeth! You'll hear some face-melting guitar solos.

This would have been a great entry into the monochrome contest.

It's looking very good so far. Not much to say except that I hate the garish colour, but really like just about everything else. On a more minor note, I'd consider making the spectrum analyser a non-gradient one, and removing the "f" and "g" out of the shufrep area, as they clutter it up a bit in my opinion (though maybe it's some kind of special equation and they need to be there)

Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.

New pic with some changes of varying subtlety. For the cursor, I'm trying to use the shadow technique that Cyana used in "ILlamaYou." The holes on the left are transparent: I tend to have terrible taste when it comes to transparency, so let me know if it's not a good idea.

Yeah, Apocalyptica is cool. Can't say I've seem them live though, you lucky %#@ ...

Some thoughts and suggestions:
-The shadow on the cursor seems to work, although I'd have to see it in action
-I'm not liking the red. It sort of clashes. Perhaps make it darker; I'm sure if you write with red ink on green paper, it'd come out darker than that
-Try #DAFFDA for the text, vis, and playlist backgrounds. It's the average of the grid and BG colors, so it tricks the eyes into thinking it matches. It's a tiny difference, but I think it'd help. Similarly, you could take advantage of the vis dots to further this illusion.
-You could also move the margins closer to the edges, so that they aren't cut off by the songname or the playlist
-I love the symbols, and can't wait to see the animations.
I know that seems like more complaints than compliments but I'm just being nitpicky, overall it looks excepllent and I look forward to seeing it finished

Changes:
-Darker red for pen, since there seemed to be a general agreement. I agree it was annoying. This time I took the color from real life.
-Changed the vis and text background color to the intermediate one Luigi suggested.
-Made red pen cursor for the PL

Alright then, sort of a test for bugs and stuff. IGNORE THE VIDEO WINDOW, as I haven't worked on it yet. I just copied part of the playlist so far.

Let me know what you think, even if it's bad news

i like it very much, cool animations...the only thing i would change would be the EQ and PL buttons...maybe you can fill the circles when pressing them or something. anyway it's not a BIG MATTER :P
maybe closing the volume bar?...one more thing...what about removing the total score from the PL?
it looks strange...lot's of TOTA TOTA TOTA TOTA =D funny aint it?
well...in spite of this minor facts, the skin kicks ass!
keep it up
(I really liked the transparencies: pretty cool...)

Thanks for the review, amigo. I did fill in the EQ and PL buttons when clicked, and it looks a lot better, I think. The volume is open because it's kind of an engineering convention to draw it that way. I've tried to stay true to real diagrams with as much of the skin as possible. Video is now done. This will be pretty much the final version, but a few more reviews couldn't hurt. Specifically:

-Should I take "total score" out of the playlist as El-ArGeNtO suggested?
-Can anything be done to improve the Library?

Don't want to spend too much more time on this, so changes will probably be minor. thanks

P.S., what is "TOTA TOTA TOTA TOTA?"

Oh, and for some reason, your main pencil cursor doesn't look right. The eraser version and the red pen version look fine, so I think it might have to do with the color depth...

that's cool :P
what about ading a red border, or just some lines to the Library buttons...just to mark their position, nothing really complicated...just a few lines here and there
apart from that, the skin rocks...
if you say that the volume represents an engine, that's fine with me :P i really don't know the graphic you tried to represent here (just a few basic thinks from last yearm but that's all)

keep up the good work

ahhhhh yes ... TOTA indeed. Haha, I didn't mean the volume is an engine -- it's a cantilever beam with the foundation exposed. And it has a distributed load and a few point loads. Classic mechanics problem. The test question would be: "What are the reaction forces at the wall?"

Luigi: what do you mean by color depth? You're probably right, but I don't know what it means. I have noticed something funky with that cursor too.

Something like... "24 bit" or "16 bit" color, I dunno. I think winamp likes some types and not others, but I'm not sure. All I know is that my Sonic and Teen Girl Squad skins' cursors show up in like 8 color mode, and so do some of yours. I dunno that the real reason is.
