For me it's clear that the problem is linked to the Windows version of Shoutcast.

I have migrated to config file ( I've just changed the paths ) and the certificates to a linux installation and HTTPS is working fine.

Please note that it is the same with IceCast : Https is only available in the Linux release.
The major difference between IceCast and Shoutcast is the fact that it's clear and official for IceCast . So you don't loose your time for trying ;-)

I have opened a ticket to shoutcast support two week ago regarding this issue : NO ANSWER ! ( I am a "Premium" User ;-) )

Major change from v2.6.0 to 2.6.1 = Fully-featured DNAS is now freeware again :-)

The only significant change from 2.6.0 to 2.6.1 is that the DNAS is now free again, i.e. all previously premium-only features are unlocked:
AAC support; bitrates above 128; SSL (Linux); streambackupurl.

Here some suggestions from us for upcoming updates:

- Adding native LE compatibility, like below:

sslCertificateFile = /etc/letsencrypt/live/domain.com/cert.pem
sslCertificateKeyFile = /etc/letsencrypt/live/domain.com/privkey.pem

Currently it's not possible native.

- Adding multi-ports: Ex. 80 + 443(SSL)

(or: portbase 80,443)
...including LE backdoor to create/update (exist) certs without proxy:

location ~ /.well-known {allow all;}

- Daemon support (Linux), like

service shoutcast2 [start|stop|restart|reload]

Maybe a non-free repository for debian/ubuntu/bsd/suse etc. - I can help. So user can install in a linux based os by "apt install shoutcast2" - like Icecast. Non-Free repos don't need show source code.

- Better caching while high demand (1-2s local synced shared buffer/cache)

Great news and well done!

I have a few suggestions for what future releases might be:
- Enable wildcard (*) blocking in User Agents blocking
Example:

WinampMPEG/*
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/*

- It does not work to block IPs of listeners if they listen through a proxy - Please fix it.

Can someone help to get streambackupurl working please on Shoutcast Server v2.6.1.777/win32

I followed the instructions here but I think there is a typo streambackupurl_1 = http://stream.url should that be streambackupurl_1=http://stream.url - no space before and after the '=' sign?

This is the line in my configuration file:

streambackupurl_11=http://fr3.1mix.co.uk:8060/320

, the backup url is valid and so is the mount point.

I have been playing with this for a while and no luck so far..

I've been trying to access admin.cgi and other pages of the shoutcast for months after logging into this page, but it's not possible.

For example, after accessing the admin area of shoutcast, if I have https, the page falls.. And it doesn't work in several players..

Has something to do with the browser cache I think. You can open a different browser like Firefox or Edge and enter the URL but make sure you put http:// and not https://. Once it tries to goto the https page it seems to fail after that.

Alas, it still doesn't support https for the admin pages,
only for the actual stream.

It's on the ToDo list, so hopefully for a future release...

After 'upgrading' to build 777 I'm not visible anymore on shoutcast.com on both mp3 & aacp stream. Will go back 733 if I don't get an answer
