J. Burnaway: Word. Elizabeth Hurley is the one person that made me choose an English/British accent. It was that or spanish, but I've heard some pretty unattractive spanish accents as well. I also hear spanish accents more, too, and don't know too many brits. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose.

YES! I love women with Russian accents. I get this funny feeling whenever I hear a woman talk with a Russian accent.

And yes, I love C&C.

no sooner do i say i know no americans with a "normal" american accent, than i find two of them that i seem to be working with for the next month... on a related note, i'm gonna be pretty scarce around here until about the end of august... i'm sure you'll all cope

I think LeeLoo's (Milla Jovovich) accent in The 5th Element was the sexiest accent I have ever heard.
I've also known some english speaking deaf women who speak quite well with an accent which is both charming and captivating, especialy considering the added emphasis of the facial expressions being used to carry part of the work of conveying the message to we who hear so well, but understand so little.

I'm used to the Italian accent and thus it doesn't do anything for me.

It's the Golden Gate Bridge. I took that picture a couple of months ago for a school project.

English..

The hottest girl I ever dated had an English Accent. The proverbial 'one that got away'. Thick, dark hair. Man, she was a hottie. But anyway, I don't really travel abroad. I've been told I have a Piney Accent, with shore lingo, which is pretty much what I am: An off-shore dude with a surfboard and a love for the Atlantic.
I do refrain from distorting certain words, tho, like 'warsh' for 'wash' and 'soord' for 'sword', and 'woof' for 'wolf'.

well how about a neutral accent? or does that count as one....

as far as i can tell, people from around where i live (west midwest, boulder colorado specifically) seem to pretty much have no accent..

but then, i rarely notice accents untill someone points them out... unless they're obvious...

It does depend on who has the accent...some people with British accents do sound snobbish...but nobody I've actually talked to. I like French accents too...I know they're overplayed, but I do.

I think anyone not from Texas has a sexy accent. I am born and bred, but my accent isn't like those country people. I say y'all alot, which bothers New Yorkers, but most people tell me that they can't hear the accent at all. Some others say I sound like I'm from Georgia, which I don't understand at all. I just love listening to different people's english. Like I said before, anyone not from Texas has a sexy accent to me!

Yes, but seeing as how Liverpool is in England, it's still an English accent. I was just pointing out that generalizations about accents disregards regional accents within said country.

Yea, i know, but not all girls from mnchester have an accent that strong. It must be the other accents, which accentuate hers.

I have to say English, because my boyfriend is english and he has the best accent (so sexy!). I have a Canadian accent I guess, it's not an accent to me though. (Also, Canadians don't really sound the same as Americans, esp American's with accents, like Southern or New York, or Boston)

But scousers always sound irritating...

Regional accents do indeed make a big difference - especially in Northern Ireland/the Republic, where the accents are quite distinct, and also in English cities, each of which has its own accent and often a regional dialect to boot. With Yorkshire people, you just have to guess what they meant...
