Actually guys, this isn't an easter egg at all. In fact it isn't even a purposeful reference to "leet speak". It just so turns out that for prebuffering the average 128kb/s MP3 into a DirectSound buffer the best, most efficient prebuffer size is 1237 ms. They added the extra 100 ms to adjust for the time during reading the ID3 tag information. So it is just simply the best value.

Really SailorH? I think you're bullsh*ting us all, 128 has nothing to do with 1237.. and then why could you need a 100ms prebuffer to load an id3 tag?? Anywho, Brennan and the guys know that no one uses 128kbps mp3s anymore. I'm using VBR ogg, and most people use 160 or about for mp3, I like 256 though ) or quality 6 ogg.. Big files are nice.

Old King Cole was a merry old soul.

I don't see nothing wrong with 128kpbs

256kpbs crap you must have broadband to be downloading files that size

VBR ogg i'll download if the mayority of the files are in that format but that's not the case mp3 is all you find

again what the hell does 1337 means

1337 is like hacker spelling for LEET, as in elite.
