Linking between Winamp Volume -> Master Mixer Volume (not Wave Volume)

This would be more than useful thing, infact using ASIO the volume is uneffective (because ASIO skips kmixer controlled by Winamp), so instead of opening the Audio Panel to change the volume, it would be beautiful to change the Panel Volume directly from Winamp Volume.

This could be done as an option in Preferences with a Checkbox like :

"Winamp controls Master Volume" = "ON / OFF"

If you're only playing mp3s you could use in_mpg123, and check 'Alternative volume setting method' in its config.

Unfortunately no other input plugin (I know of) offers a similar option.

Otoh if you're using volume control you won't get bit-perfect output anymore anyway so imo you might as well use DirectSound.

What i mean was NOT a link to "Wave Volume" (used by kmixer and DirectSound that alters sounds), but to "Master Mixer" slider, that is Hardware linked and that does not pass through kmixer and so preserves bit-perfection sound.
I hope i've been clear.

It only preserves bit-perfect output if set to maximum.

Even a hardware volume control still takes place before the D/A converter and therefore has to change the digital signal.

In this case, whatever ASIO plugin or bit-perfect plugin is totally useless, because all of us listening to the winamp music sooner or later have to change the volume through the volume slider
So at this point, is more confortable changing it from winamp than from the hardware control panel
