I found my pen! It was stuck in the snow and ice in the driveway here at the camp. It'd been run over a couple times, but the pen itself survived without any visible damage. The refill needs to be replaced, though, because it was extended and ended up getting jammed into the asphalt (and it's a Fisher SpacePen refill, too! Grr!). At least I found my pen.

I used to use those (and refills like them) all the time when I was into handwritten journaling - I never had to worry about the angle when writing, so I could lay down or sit reclined, writing with my pen tip above the back end and not have to worry about skipping or other bad effects of gravity. I just type now, although I still can't do it laying down very well, although with my cheap cordless keyboard, I can still do it reclined.

I might go back to handwriting though - there's something pure and authentic about the handwritten word that isn't there in typed text which is lost when typing - especially when re-reading. Also, I like to see what I may have crossed out or fixed over time.

Shit, now I have to order a Fisher SpacePen refill and a nice pen to put it in. And maybe a nice tablet (paper, not PC) too.

Look at diving shops. There's lots of paper that you can write on underwater.

We used to use something called Tyvek. It's made entirely of polythene, shot strand matting, and almost impossible to tear.

It's used in the building trade and relatively cheap, may be OK to use underwater, never tried.

My pen of choice is the Parker Jotter. I have several; A couple of them are all-stainless (like the one pictured), and a couple have different colored resin barrels. Wonderful pens, and the Fisher SpacePen refill fits in them perfectly. Office Depot stocks the SpacePen refills for about $5.50 each. You can pick up a Jotter there as well, but Walmart actually carries the Jotter for a little bit less money.

I used to use that stuff when I got into residential construction back in 2001. Used it for house-wrap before the exterior siding or masonry was put up. That stuff is strong.

Last week I got to see my uncle and cousin who I don't see often due to the inconvenience of a Kentucky-New Mexico/Texas separation...Did a lot of running around with my cousin taking her to the mall and a bunch of places...Did a lot of running around for myself, driving across the entire span of Louisville multiple times for god knows how many miles a trip...

So far this week is the entire opposite...With it being the last week until my classes start again, catching some sort of virus and getting somewhat sick, and the weather getting cold and wet all of a sudden, the only thing I've accomplished was actually having the strength and motivation to go to work on Monday...I'm otherwise having a very uninteresting week, and it's only Tuesday...

2.) watch more porn

3.) buy me a beer, not those heavy lager ones, and watch some comedy movie, and make my own popcorn, i'm getting quite good at that

4.) clean my room from all the garbage which includes throwing a complete stereo system we were given by my mom's side relatives, i broke the little contact springs in the rear of the woofer, gonna get all the shit i tossed in my utility closet for good, i'm such a mess!

5.) get a new job (hopefully, wish me luck)

Changed out the starter motor in a car, installed an air conditioning system, installed a roof vent on a shed, sheared 40 alpacas, tried to find a job that actually paid me money, texted shyshy to let her know I was surviving the 48 degree heat here in South Australia....

Let's see...I watched the snow fall these past couple of days...Pretty stuff when it coats your world white...

Oh, and that snow came with sleet and put Kentucky under a sheet of ice and nature's blow, leaving hundreds of thousands of residents without any power...

So yeah, without power, I pretty much just slept and slept some more, freezing my ass off in the dark, and going outside to shovel snow and take off the sheet of ice that layered inches on top of my car...I also had to take off my tire in the snow and cold because of a slow leak; I fucking love doing that, especially this time of the year (2nd time in 3 weeks!)...

Had to work yesterday, but didn't do anything, since nobody thought Target would be open since we were running mostly in the dark running on emergency generators...Easy day and free drinks from the Food Avenue machines, yay...

Wait, my week seemed mundane in an unorthodox way...Nevermind

I was curious about the amp because I don't have any guitar or bass amps any more - I just hook up to the stereo or plug in to someone else's when out of the house.

I was thinking about getting something, but since I'll be moving soon, I'm guessing it'd be better to buy something after the move.

Well, we're searching almost all of the US and Canada. Arizona is included - we have apps to Phoenix and Tuscon, not to mention a ton of smaller districts that I don't seem to remember at this point. We don't have a whole lot of trouble getting people interested, but it's always just me or just Renee, not both. Time will tell where I end up. If you still have the Fender amp, gut it and toss in new guts. An old Fender amp case like that is priceless if you ask me.

cool dude, as long as its not a crime ridden city like chicago or harlem, maybe los angeles too, i'd be terrified just to walk down the street to the local shops, i got the impression that you can get shot simply by looking at someone who dont want you to look at him, ofcourse thats a stigma and i know there are nice people in these cities too, but the good - bad rate surely leans to the bad.

you hear this from a person who would like to live somewhere in new york, now i know people will tell me "hey, new york isn't better than chicago, even in football" so my reply to that is that i have a friend there so i'll be safe and not lost. plus that he will accept my stutter and not laugh like a crackhead

[edit] i've seen "the bronx story"... nice movie btw
