Dune the RPG/turn based strategy game.

lol, there is only one Dune, and that was available for amiga 500 as well.

Dune 2000 and other fancy games does not count in a "Do you remember?" thread

I don't think your memory serves you correctly qo:

Dune II http://www.mobygames.com/game/sheet/p,2/gameId,241/

Dune http://www.mobygames.com/game/sheet/p,2/gameId,380/

Dune II being a top down strategy game, and Dune being a role playing puzzle game...

Hey, it had it's share of strategy, even if it was very easy.

Re: Do you remember?

- Do you remember Commander Keen and the Invasion of the Vorticons?

Not that particular one, I may have played another. Was a PC game, but by that time I was already so much into Monkey Island that Keen really was just that little prick you could cut up as an extra in Doom II.

- Do you remember how to access a BBS?

I remember making a huge arse outta myself trying to get around there after having stumbed on with my C64 (hail to the tank, baby).

- Do you remember the difference between the weapons of GDI and NAD of Command & Conquer?

It was NOD, if you didn't type that on purpose. I do remember enough to know I preferred GDI. I also remember that the Free Record Shop opened at midnight for Tiberian Sun and that there were people sleeping on the front porch to get it.

- Do you remember when everyone was braging about having a 14.4 baud modem?

Pff! Bragging my arse, I had one!

- Do you remember FastTracker and QPEG?

My first spasms into computer music. I quickly went back to Music Studio on the C64. I always was better with notes than whatever it is Fasttracker does.

- Do you remember how to complete the first map of Doom with 100% of everything?

If that included 100% cheating, yeah.

- Do you remember DOTT?

Day Of The Tentacle. I have it on a 10 Adventure disc from Lucas Arts. They made the best adventures, far as I'm concerned.

- Do you remember ROTT?

Don't tell me there's a Revenge Of The Tentacle and I don't know about it!

- Do you remember One Must Fall?

I fell once or twice...

- Do you remember how many episodes there was in the full version of Wolfenstein 3D and how you started Wolfenstein to be able to use cheats?

Only thing I remember is that I didn't have all of them and that "goober" had something to do with starting it.

- Do you remember how the sound of PC speaker music sounded?

I need asperine just because you made me remember.

- Do you remember Pinball Dreams/Pinball Fantasies/Pinball Illusions?

Had all of them on Amiga, thank you very much.

- Do you remember Sierra adventures like Police Quest/Space Quest/Larry

I actually have all the Larry episodes somewhere in one of these desk drawers. Or rather, my girlfriend does.

- Do you remember the password to gain access to the ho in the bar of Larry 1?

Ken Sent Me. Remember some of the other graffittis? The one that stuck with me was "Scott me up, Beamy!"

- Do you remember Quarantine?

What do you know about my dog and what have you done to her?

Well, thanks for that. Now I feel all nostalgic and fuzzy inside. I should go and hook up one of the Commodores again...

Ok, Quarantine is a taxi game where you can upgrade a lot of weapons, and one live by driving peeps around in a city of madness where the Omni Corp have taking the whole city in to Quarantine.

ROTT (Rise of the Triad) yet another of the Apogee games which I played a lot back then, and I have the original disc somewhere...

QPEG was a MS-DOS based ACDC 32 kinda program that could show images of all types, and the latest versions also could show 32 bit images.

FastTracker (II) is a tracking program where one can sequence sounds and music to make .XM or .MOD Modules.

To cheat on Wolfenstein you needed to run command:

wolf3d -goobers

Then press shift+alt+backspace to enable cheats ingame, then it was only to press tab+<different keys>, like TAB+G was godmode.
