gen_PLExp: Plugin to export the current Pl into.. XML, ASX, TXT, B4S

This is my current plugin.
Will take your current Winamp playlist in exported into ASX, XML, TXT or B4S.

Note: Since I don't have a compatible player that uses B4S, please... test this format if you can...

Comments?

BTW: Simple one....

B4S?? Isn't that what Winamp 3 used. Just download Winamp 3. It should be available at the Wasabi project site.

Mmh, some issues there... I'm using Windows XP.
  • When I save to .txt > no problems
  • When I save to .asx > no problems
  • When I save to .xml >
It saves the .xml properly. But when I reopen Prefs again, it only lists some of the General Purposes plugins I got installed. To be precise, it lists these ones:
    gen_ff.dll
    gen_hotkeys.dll
    gen_jumpex.dll
    gen_library.dll

It leaves out: (i.e. not listed)
    gen_ml.dll
    gen_nxsballoontip.dll
    gen_repeater.dll
    gen_tips.dll
    gen_tray.dll
    gen_waPlExp.dll

After that, when I hit the close button or when I try to change to another tab (eg. Plugins > Output), Winamp crashes:
    AppName: winamp.exe AppVer: 5.0.0.8 ModName: ntdll.dll
    ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00010f29

I also tried this in a clean install. This rendered similar results. Again only the first four gen plugins were listed after reopening prefs, and WA would crash when trying to close prefs. In this case, it leaves in:
    gen_ff.dll
    gen_hotkeys.dll
    gen_jumpex.dll
    gen_ml.dll

It leaves out: (i.e. not listed)
    gen_tray.dll
    gen_waPlExp.dll
  • When I save to .b4s >
File is properly saved but Winamp freezes. I can hear the confirmation box popping up, but don't see anything. Only way of closing is using task manager. This one is NOT reproducable in a clean install.
Nice idea though

Maybe it's an idea to make this function more accessible. It's a bit annoying to have to go to Prefs > gen purpose to export a playlist (or did I miss something?).

If you're bored go here or, if the boredom is more serious, here.

You can download the gen_sel example by DrO (available here somewhere). This demonstartes how you can add your own menu items to the playlist context-menu. You can then hook the playlist editor window proc (subclass it) and intercept WM_COMMAND messages for the added menu item.
